TOWN OF LEE PUBLIC WORKS SECRETARY Full-time administrative and secretarial work supporting the Town of Lee Department of Public Works (DPW).
Duties include distributing agenda and supporting information for, and taking of minutes of, DPW Board meetings; processing payroll and vendor payment requests, assisting with procurement and budgeting, providing information regarding DPW policies and procedures, responding to customer concerns, preparing correspondence, reports and documents, and maintaining departmental records.
Applicants must be high school graduates with secretarial or business course study; Associates degree or other post graduate secretarial training preferred.
Applicant must have two years of experience in a secretarial position of equal or greater responsibility; and, be familiar with Microsoft Office and be able to master specialized municipal software.
Regular 35 hour/5 day workweek.
Salary range of $29,409 to $38,911plus benefits.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
