Job Description:
The Buyer prepares sales analysis by category, studies trends in journals and on the web prior to making selections. This role also negotiates the lowest cost with the best quality for our assortments. The position not only places product orders, but follows-up on deliveries, vendors and store breakdowns to the warehouse. Preparing new product for presentations, catalog proofreading and supporting Merchandising projects as they arise are all part of the duties in this role.
Requirements:
1. B.A. in related field
2. 3 or more years Merchandising/Marketing experience
3. Strong concentration in written and oral communication
4. Proficiency in Excel and Word
5. Product buying experience
6. Solid decision making skills
7. Strong interpersonal skills
8. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
9. Demonstrated planning and organizational skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
